Step-by-Step Peer Review Workflow

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their complete manuscripts through the GJETR submission system, ensuring compliance with all journal guidelines and ethical requirements.

2. Editorial Pre-Evaluation

The editorial team conducts an initial screening to:

  • Confirm the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and basic quality standards.

  • Check document completeness, formatting, and adherence to submission guidelines.

  • Screen for plagiarism and ethical issues.

Submissions failing this stage receive prompt desk-rejections with feedback, saving time for both authors and reviewers.

3. Assignment to Reviewers

  • Manuscripts passing the initial check are assigned to at least two independent reviewers, selected for their subject-matter expertise.

  • GJETR employs a double-blind review process—authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another, ensuring unbiased evaluations.

4. In-depth Review

Reviewers evaluate submissions based on:

  • Scientific originality and significance

  • Methodological rigor and clarity

  • Relevance to the journal’s aims

  • Ethical compliance

They provide detailed, constructive feedback and recommend one of: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

5. Editorial Decision

Editors consolidate feedback and make a decision, communicating detailed reviewer comments and clear revision instructions if needed. Authors are given a timeline for resubmission. In the case of substantially conflicting recommendations, a third reviewer may be consulted.

6. Revision and Follow-Up Review

Authors revise their manuscripts in line with reviewer/editor guidance and may undergo additional rounds of review to ensure all concerns are addressed. All changes should be explained in a point-by-point response.

7. Acceptance and Final Checks

Upon approval, the manuscript undergoes copyediting, formatting, and final proofreading. Authors review final proofs before publication.

8. Publication

The article is published open access, immediately available to a global audience.
