Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Global Journal of Engineering and Technology Research (GJETR) is firmly committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. This statement outlines ethical guidelines and malpractice prevention measures for all participants in the publication process, based on internationally recognized standards such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Submissions must be original works by the listed authors. Any use of others’ ideas, text, data, or figures must be fully acknowledged and cited. All forms of plagiarism—including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and image manipulation—are strictly prohibited. Manuscripts found to violate these principles will be rejected or retracted.

  • Multiple or Redundant Submission: Authors must not submit the same work or substantially similar work to more than one journal at the same time. Duplicate, redundant, or concurrent submissions are considered unethical and will not be tolerated.

  • Authorship: Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research and manuscript writing should be listed as authors. All listed authors must approve the manuscript and agree to its submission.

  • Data Reporting and Accuracy: Authors must present accurate, transparent, and reproducible research methods and results. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical publishing behavior.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research or its interpretation.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Fair Play: Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, and the relevance of the work, regardless of authors’ background, gender, or affiliations.

  • Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff will not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or publisher.

  • Conflicts of Interest: Editors will recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.

  • Handling of Unethical Behavior: In cases of suspected research or publishing misconduct, editors, in collaboration with the publisher, will take prompt, appropriate actions, including issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as needed.

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and not share or use unpublished material for personal advantage.

  • Objectivity: Reviews should be objective, constructive, and free from personal criticism. All assessments should be supported by clear arguments and references.

  • Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify any relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any suspicion of ethical issues or plagiarism.

Publisher’s Commitment

  • Ethical Oversight: The publisher works in close coordination with the editorial board to maintain the journal’s integrity. Any form of scientific misconduct, plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical behavior is thoroughly investigated and disciplinary actions are taken when needed. This may include retraction, erratum, or notification to relevant institutions.

Handling Allegations of Misconduct

In the event of suspected or proven misconduct (such as plagiarism or data fabrication), GJETR will:
